About Erin

My name is Erin, and I live in Austin, but I am originally from just outside of Houston, where I attended Rice University as an undergraduate. Following graduation, I moved with my now husband, Dustin, to the Seattle area where I discovered my love for cooking and baking (see my food blog wafoodie). After a few years soaking up the rainy weather of the Pacific Northwest, I moved to sunny LA and completed my Ph.D. in cognitive psychology with a focus on applying its principles to education. I recently moved back home to Texas to be closer to family. When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time with Dustin and my adorable border collie mixes, Bonnie and Bella, watching my favorite sports teams win (go Texans, Astros, Rockets, and LA Kings!), and binge watching pretty much anything produced by HBO.
